Gas Hydrates
Rising U.S. consumption of natural gas and increasing worldwide gas demands are generating new interest in Alaska's gas hydrates. DGGS geoscientists are working collaboratively with federal, university, and industry researchers to assess Alaska's gas hydrate resource potential. See below for general information about gas hydrates, conference presentations, and links to reports on gas hydrate research in Alaska.
