Computational Medicine & Biology

CFD Research Corporation has developed a number of unique technologies and applications in the Computational Medicine and Biology area. We are experienced in high-fidelity simulations and reduced order models for biomechanics, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), hearing and acoustics, physiology, immunology, and pharmacology. Many of those technologies are targeted towards a Virtual Human/Patient and a Virtual Warfighter specifically for DoD applications.

Virtual Patient Virtual Warfighter

Virtual Human/Patient

The Virtual Human models human body mechanisms including biomechanics, hemodynamics, respiration, metabolism, diabetes, tumor angiogenesis, immunology, pharmacology, and cell biology.

Virtual Warfighter

The Virtual Warfighter is based on our Virtual Human technology but is used for military applications, including Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), pharmacological treatment of TBI, improved armor/helmet protection, lightening the squadron/soldier’s load, hearing, conduction of sound through bone, and noise induced hearing loss.
