Remote Test Facility
CFDRC ADS has developed a Remote Test Facility in Scottsboro, Alabama; approximately 45 minutes East of Huntsville and Redstone Arsenal. Located in an EPA Brown Zone, at the site of a former Aluminum manufacturing plant, the Remote Test Facility affords CFDRC and our customers an ability to perform test and evaluation, advanced prototyping, and systems engineering.
Test & Evaluation Capabilities:
- High Volume Air Supply for Gas Turbine Engine and Turbomachinery Component Testing
- Combustion, Fuel Atomization and Spray Testing
- Solid/Liquid Rocket Engine Cold Flow Testing and Hot Fire Testing
- Advanced Propellant Formulation, Mixing, and Testing
- High Speed Data Acquisition and Control Center
Prototyping & Fabrication Capabilities:
- Birmingham Mill (3 axis DRO, rotary table)
- Birmingham Lathe (2 axis DRO)
- Bridgeport R2E3 Series II CNC Machine (3 axis)
- Vertical & Horizontal Band Saws
- Welding & Cutting: MIG, Gas & Plasma Torch
- Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) Software
CFDRC has expertise and experience in test facility design, layout, test configuration set-up and installation; test planning, test monitoring, results review, and qualification testing. CFDRC has performed a variety of Test & Evaluation Projects for NASA, and DoD Customers
